How we work

Menu choices

Please have a look at our menus on the website and submit your menu.

Browse our canapes and sharing boards menus to start your meal. We offer a choice of four canapes and find that a mix of hot and cold canapes, including a canape suitable for your vegetarian and vegan guests, works well.

Our sharing boards work well as a first course and give your guests something to nibble on while they are waiting for their turn to choose their food.

For your main meal we recommend a choice of two or three main meat or fish dishes plus a dish for your vegetarian guests along with a choice of four salads and sides.

Clients normally chose one or two desserts but we are also happy for you to have your wedding cake for dessert although please note we are unable to serve any food which we haven’t prepared ourselves. If you required extra plates and cutlery for this we can arrange to add this to your order but the serving of the cake will have to be done by yourselves or your party.

There’s no pressure to have all of these courses, do create the menu that suits you best – we can provide them all or just the main course food. If you have any other food suppliers at your event we will need to see their food hygiene certificate and have a contact email or number for them in advance.

Style of service

We offer all our dishes from our festival style servery and we find this option along with a. buffet table for salads and sides works really well. Your guests can interact and chat with our staff to ensure they have the meal they want.

If you would like your guests to help themselves and have food on sharing boards or platters we offer a reduced selection of our dishes that work for this style of service. Please see the sharing tables menu. The only issue that can occur in this situation is that there is not enough room on your tables for all the dishes, glasses and decoration. However, chat to us and we will be able to advise you further.

Desserts can be placed on sharing plates on your tables for your guests to help themselves to.

Other services

We can offer a buffet of fresh tea and coffees after your meal including herbal teas.

We can bring all the crockery and cutlery required if this is not supplied by your venue and can also supply table cloths and napkins in white or a selection of other colours. These are ordered in multiples of 5 and we order five spare of each item in case of breakages or dropping things on the floor etc.

For evening food, we offer service to your guests from our festival style servery with either palm leaf plates or festival trays and biodegradable wooden cutlery. This can be in your venue or we can set up a gazebo outside and serve from this if you need to create dancing space!

Drinks and bar services.

We don’t offer a paid bar service or a stocked bar service. However, if this is what you are looking for we can recommend some brilliant bar companies that we work with.

We are happy to serve your arrival drinks for you - generally you will need to ensure we have somewhere to serve these drinks from such as an extra table but we can order extra table cloths etc for this purpose. We will need to bring additional staff for this so please ensure this is discussed and included on your event summary.

We can also replenish wine and water bottles on tables for you during the meal and if you require glasses topping up during the meal we can bring additional staff to do this for you, as above this also needs to be discussed and agreed as above to ensure we bring enough staff.

If you are planning on purchasing your drinks for your event we have our own rustic festival style bar that we can set up and serve your drinks from. Please note that our staff are able to serve wines, beers, simple spirits and mixers etc but we do not offer a cocktail making service.

We can bring all the glassware for your tables and can also add extra glasses for your bar if you are supplying the drinks yourselves. If you have a bar company at your event we ask that only one company (i.e us or the bar company) supply the glassware or things can get complicated when it comes to clearing up!

If required we can also provide a chest freezer full of ice for your drinks and some wonderful looking galvanised planters to serve bottles and cans from.

Setting up

We will require access to your venue at least a day in advance to set up, preferably two. However, if that’s an issue please let us know. If you have ordered tableware with us this will be delivered normally on a Thursday for a Saturday event so you have plenty of time to check this through and lay up your tables as you wish.

On the day

On the day our chefs will be on site cooking your meals. Our serving staff will arrive an hour before the time they are due to start service. If you are purchasing your own drinks and are using our bar staff these staff will need to be on site an hour and half before they are to serve to set up. Please ensure that they are fully aware (either directly or via your event coordinator) of everything they need to know regarding the service of your drinks. For example, if any champagne etc needs to be saved for toasts later on.

Clearing up

Our staff will serve and clear all the food we have supplied and, if it has been arranged in advance, the glassware. Do discuss with your event coordinator the level of service you require with regard to clearing as it’s not a problem at all for us to clear everything, we just need to ensure we bring enough staff for long enough. This will need to be detailed and agreed on the event summary prior to the final invoice being raised.

We do not provide waste bins for any waste we have not created. However, we can organise mixed waste or recycling bins for you. Please discuss with your event coordinator.
